Melbourne’s first six-star residential and retail development promises unrivalled luxury with designer style.

It’s not every day an Oscar-winning Hollywood star is drafted to be the face of an Australian apartment development.

LK Group executive chairman and Dodo founder Larry Kestelman would argue Capitol Grand, which has Charlize Theron as an ambassador, is no ordinary block of flats.
Soaring 50 storeys, the project is set to be Melbourne’s tallest building outside the CBD, at the fashionable corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road in South Yarra.

Mr Kestelman says it will be Melbourne’s first six-star residential and retail development, not just because of the quality of the building but the services offered.

“We have left no stone unturned,” he says. “There are the services you might expect, such as a concierge and valet parking, but there are also private dining rooms, libraries, cinemas and an underground car wash for residents.”

Since the sales launch late last year, buyers have snapped up about half of the 396 apartments offered for sale. The two Bates Smart-designed buildings in the development – the 50-storey LK Tower and the smaller Capitol Grand Tower – have been particularly popular with downsizers and successful young professionals, Mr Kestelman says.

“We’ve had quite a number of Sydney purchasers. Some are investors; others are commuters.”

Capitol Grand is four kilometres from the CBD, near South Yarra train station and the No.8 and No.78 trams. Buyers have an opportunity to earn up to 2 million Qantas points with their purchase.
Capitol Grand will have a sales suite in Sydney from May 28 to June 5, from 10am to 7pm at the Hilton Hotel, Level 1, 488 George Street.
